Art. 7742-2KM
The automatic change-over station for gases with purity up to 6.0 guarantees an uninterrupted gas supply from two cylinder racks or from two to four single cylinders (1 or 2 cylinders each side). The change-over station consists in the standard version of two high pressure shut-off blocks with integrated purge valves, two high pressure regulators that are connected on the low-pressure side both with gauges for the indication of the respective cylinder pressure. Also included is a safety valve and a gauge indicating the preset secondary pressure. All components are mounted on an aluminium plate.
The high pressure shut-off blocks have two connection options (lateral and from below) for the connection of high pressure gas cylinders or cylinder racks (inlet pressure up to 300 bar) and have integrated purge valves. The high pressure connections are fitted with sinter filters and with back-flow valves. The change-over station works on the principle of differential pressure. If the cylinder pressure of one side falls below the set supply pressure, the system will be supplied from the other side through the defined differential pressure. The change-over station is switched ready for operation again by operating the change-over lever, and the cylinders on the empty side must be replaced. If this is not done, the change-over station continues to be supplied from this side after connection of the new gas cylinders. The change-over pressure is permanently preset to a value between 3 and 10 bar.
As an option the changeover station can also be equipped with two contact gauges and an empty indication. The empty indication offers the possibility for the connection of an external alarm (warning light or signal horn – not included in scope of supply). The version with the two contact gauges must be ordered by the addition of 2KM and the empty indication under Art. 79842-N-2.
The change-over switching station is supplied in the standard version with a permanently preset change-over pressure of 10 bar. On demand also the adjustment of a lower value (from 3 bar onwards) is possible.
