Flame arresters prevent the flame from flashing back into the gas supply in the event of incorrect manipulation. They thus form an important element of occupational safety and are mandatory in most countries.
All our flashback arrestors have a gas non-return valve (prevents the gas from flowing back against the direction of flow) and a flame arrester (a sintered filter prevents the flame from passing through). The Gloorotherm has a third safety element, namely a temperature-controlled afterflow barrier. In this case, a special solder melts in the event of flame flashback, so that the pre-tensioned bolt is activated and interrupts the gas supply.
The Gloorotherm is available in two versions. Art.1500 for common applications from single cylinders or tapping points and Art.1800 for higher capacities such as machine flame cutting and for low pressures (natural gas).
The Gloorotherm is available for oxygen, compressed air, acetylene, propane, natural gas and hydrogen.
The Gloorotherm is mounted directly to the pressure reducing valve or the tapping point.
